The robinon your desktop.
A painted European robin for your Mac or Windows desktop, one of six Deskiee birds.
What it looks like
A European robin: a small round bird with an orange face and breast, an olive-brown back and a pale belly.
What it does all day
The robin walks along the bottom of your screen, flies up to the top edge of a window you have open and stands there. Move the window and it rides along; close it and it drops off and finds somewhere else. Drag it to carry it, or tap a rhythm and it sings it back.
Its own moves
- When it is dizzy it flicks its tail as it wobbles.
With chirps switched on (they start off), it has its own call and song, modelled on the real bird's.
The real bird
This is the European robin, not the American robin, which is a much larger thrush with a grey back and a brick-red breast.
European robins live across Europe and sing through much of the year, winter included.
